In the recent women’s ski jumping World Cup event held in Ljubno, Slovenian skipper Nika Prevc delivered a stellar performance, winning her third consecutive contest and her eighth victory of the season. Prevc recorded jumps of 90.5 m and 95 m, earning a total of 258 points to maintain a dominant lead in the World Cup standings.

German Selina Freitag finished in second place, trailing by 17.4 points, while Norwegian Thea Minyan Bjoerseth, who managed an impressive 97 m jump in her second attempt—a new record for the hill—fell on landing and suffered injuries to her left leg and arm, which led to her hospitalization.

Polish jumper Anna Twardosz, the only representative from Poland, managed a jump of just 77.5 m in the first series, which was not sufficient to advance her into the final round. In the overall standings for this event, Prevc amassed 1233 points, while other leading competitors placed significantly higher than Twardosz, who ended up in 31st place overall.

Another competition is scheduled to take place in Ljubno on Sunday, promising further action in the World Cup series.
