World Champion Admits to Cheating. He Reveals What He Did!

The aftermath of a scandal involving Norwegian ski jumpers continues to resonate. During the world championships, it was revealed that they made unauthorized modifications to their suits. The violations included inserting stiffening elements into their outfits, enabling longer jumps. Initially, Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang were disqualified.
In the first training session in Oslo, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, Robin Pedersen, and Robert Johansson were also implicated. Coach Magnus Brevig and equipment manager Adrian Livelten were dismissed from their positions. Furthermore, most sponsors have distanced themselves from the Norwegian team, as they were seen competing without advertisements on their uniforms.
Andreas Kuettel, former ski jumper and world champion, has now admitted to his own cheating practices. He disclosed to "Blick" that he sprayed his suit with hair spray to restrict airflow.
"We would spray our suits with hair spray to limit airflow," said Kuettel, who won the world title in 2009. The 45-year-old also noted that many athletes would change into larger outfits after the first round to avoid detection.
