Poland showed a positive signal, but after Saturday's World Cup competition in Engelberg, there remains a huge disappointment. The disqualification of Piotr Żyła and Pawel Wąsek's misstep in the second series meant that the White and Reds did not significantly improve their positions in the World Cup overall standings. Changes did occur nearly at the top of the rankings. Jan Hoerl took advantage of Pius Paschke's surprising downturn.

Piotr Żyła had the potential for his best result of the World Cup season. After a 137 m jump, he could realistically think about a place in the top of the competition, but a misjudgment with the gear cost him disqualification in the final series. The best of Thomas Thurnbichler’s charges was Wąsek, who finished 11th, positioning himself as the leader of the Polish squad. With 130 points, he sits in 17th in the overall standings, while Aleksander Zniszczoł also performed well, landing in 17th place during the competition.

Poland's top representatives such as Jakub Wolny and Kamil Stoch are currently seated in 25th and just behind in the standings respectively, demonstrating the competitive nature of the current season. As the competition continues, all eyes will be on the squad's performance in the upcoming events.

Looking forward, the next individual competition at Engelberg is scheduled for Sunday at 4:00 PM, with qualifications starting at 2:30 PM at the Gross Titlis Schanze.
