According to a Norwegian article obtained by Interia Sport, the Austrian was not only involved with the Polish Ski Association but from October he had also taken up employment in Norway in a completely different field – working as a specialist in managerial development at a construction company.

This new information casts the breakup between Stoeckl and the PZN in a different light. Earlier, Adam Małysz had expressed his disappointment with Stoeckl’s work during an interview with TVP Sport, comments that reportedly upset the former sports director. However, Stoeckl refuted these claims in a media statement, asserting that the president had never conveyed any direct complaints, and that his attempts to reach Małysz met with no reply.

Further details from Interia suggest that although Małysz initially experienced phone issues, he eventually communicated with Stoeckl via email and even arranged a meeting. Despite this, Stoeckl chose to manage the situation on his own terms. These revelations imply that Małysz’s remarks might have served as mere pretext rather than reflecting a personal affront to the Austrian’s pride.
