Two Norwegian ski jumpers, Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang, have been suspended provisionally by the International Ski Federation (FIS). They competed in the large hill event at the World Championships wearing suits that did not comply with regulations. The Norwegian team’s coach, Magnus Brevig, and a staff member have also been suspended for their alleged involvement in the illegal alteration of equipment.
The FIS stated that compliance issues were discovered during the competition, and all suits worn by the Norwegian teams have been seized for further investigation. This incident has raised significant concerns regarding fair competition and the integrity of the sport.
Lindvik, who finished second, was disqualified along with Forfang and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal for their non-compliant suits. The FIS emphasizes its commitment to ensuring equal conditions for all competitors, and this situation is being treated with utmost seriousness to maintain the sport's integrity.
