Thomas Thurnbichler, the coach of the Polish ski jumping team, has stated that they have completed their preparations for the upcoming season. The team spent the last three weeks in Poland taking advantage of excellent weather conditions for training. Athletes such as Maciej Kot, Dawid Kubacki, Kamil Stoch, Paweł Wąsek, and Aleksander Zniszczoł will participate in competitions in Lillehammer from November 22 to 24.
Thurnbichler noted that the preparations went smoothly, with the team training in Wisła and Zakopane, utilizing ice tracks and plastic landing slopes. The weather conditions, characterized by low temperatures and a lack of wind, were ideal for training. He expressed satisfaction with the form of his athletes.
Thurnbichler confirmed that Polish ski jumpers are in good shape ahead of the competitions in Norway, stating, "All the athletes selected for the World Cup have been jumping very steadily and at a high level. We see that they believe in their skills and the vision of jumping." He added that the upcoming days will focus on final equipment preparations.
Piotr Żyła is working on his return to full fitness after undergoing knee surgery in August, and he is expected to be ready for the competition in Wisła scheduled for December 7-8. The mixed team event will take place in Lillehammer on November 22, followed by individual competitions, with Austrian Stefan Kraft aiming to defend his Crystal Globe title.
