Thomas Thurnbichler Announces Changes to Polish Ski Jumping Team
Despite initial plans to field the same team for the World Cup in Ruka that competed in Lillehammer, coach Thomas Thurnbichler decided to make changes. Jakub Wolny is set to replace Maciej Kot in the lineup.
Maciej Kot had a less than stellar performance with two qualifications that fell short, finishing 42nd and 43rd in the events. Meanwhile, Paweł Wąsek managed to secure 14th place, being the standout performer for Poland in the recent weekend.
Changes were deemed necessary following Kot's lackluster showing, prompting Thurnbichler to choose Wolny for the Finnish leg of the competition. This decision illustrates the ongoing adjustments meant to optimize the team's performance as they progress through the season.
