As the Summer Grand Prix reaches its finale, the Polish Ski Association has unveiled the team competing in Klingenthal this weekend. This final showdown will feature an individual event on Saturday, followed by an exciting mixed team competition on Sunday.
Representing Poland, the squad includes Paweł Wąsek, who currently leads the summer series, alongside Jakub Wolny, Dawid Kubacki, and Aleksander Zniszczol, who is making a notable return to competition. In the women's events, Anna Twardosz, Nicole Konderla, and Natalia Słowik will take to the slopes.
Wąsek stands in a strong position to clinch the overall series title. He recently competed in Hinzenbach adorned in the yellow leader's jersey, further boosting his chances with the news that second-place competitor Stefan Kraft will not be in attendance at Klingenthal. Alex Insam, currently ranked third, trails by 24 points but has shown significantly weaker performances than Wąsek in recent Austrian events. Jan Hoerl, sitting in fourth place, trails Wąsek by 98 points, meaning that only mathematical possibilities remain for him to overtake the leader.
With both individual and team events promising thrilling action, all eyes will be on the Polish squad as they compete for glory in Klingenthal this weekend.
