Thomas Thurnbichler and Jakub Wolny surprised fans with their celebration, referring to a recent incident involving Tomasz Pilch. After a competition, the Polish representative tried to dodge explaining his joke about a younger teammate. Eurosport reporter Kacper Merk prompted him, saying, "No, you can’t respond that way. The whole of Poland is waiting."

Tomasz Pilch, on his part, made an impression as a 17-year-old scoring in the World Cup earlier but currently struggles with form and competes only in the Continental Cup. He joined the B team in Ruka, alongside Maciej Kot and Piotr Żyła. In a recent tournament, he jumped 126.5 m and expressed joy by moving his arms in celebration, despite this distance not allowing him even to advance to the next round.

As seen, this action by Adam Małysz's nephew also caught the attention of the first team competing in the World Cup in Titisee-Neustadt. Following Jakub Wolny’s excellently executed jump in the first round, he first mirrored Pilch’s celebration and then coach Thomas Thurnbichler repeated the gesture along with his assistant. According to Eurosport reporter Kacper Merk, Wolny initially did not explain this behavior; he only commented after the competition.

"I don’t know," Wolny tried to cut the topic short. "No, you cannot respond that way. The whole of Poland is waiting," Merk encouraged him. "I just saw the coaches on TV and copied it," he cleverly sidestepped the question with a smile.

"It’s an inside joke for us; we saw the move yesterday performed by one of the competitors and decided that if someone jumps over 135 meters in Titisee, we will redo it on the tower," added Thurnbichler, as quoted by Merk.
