The wind played a significant role at the Ruka ski jumping event. Judges decided to cancel the second round right before the Polish jumpers were about to take their turns, showcasing once again the unpredictable nature of the sport. Only one round was fully completed, and unfortunately, this resulted in very few points being scored by the athletes.

Dawid Kubacki managed to secure the best result for Poland this season, finishing in 10th place, with solid jumps from Kamil Stoch and Paweł Wąsek, who also earned points. However, it was a disappointing day for many others, including veteran jumpers like Aleksander Zniszczoł and Halvor Egner Granerud who faced difficulties due to the challenging conditions.

Earlier in the day, during the earlier rounds, the competition had initially looked promising, but the wind picked up, causing issues for many jumpers who were unable to perform to their potential. In light of this uncertainty, the event did not see the second series contested, with officials deciding to conclude the competition as the conditions deteriorated. This decision sparked discussions among fans and analysts about the state of ski jumping and how weather can dramatically affect outcomes in such a competitive atmosphere.
