The 36-year-old acknowledges that this decision likely had significant ramifications for their coach, Thomas Thurnbichler, explaining why.

In June, the news broke that Kamil Stoch was adopting a unique approach to his training. The seasoned ski jumper chose Michal Doleżal as his coach, taking a bold step that raised eyebrows within the ski jumping community.

Kubacki remarked on the situation, indicating that such moves can deeply affect coaching dynamics. "Kamil took the route of collaborating individually with Michal Doleżal without informing us. I can’t say much more on that. I've known Michal for many years, we've achieved great success together, and undoubtedly, if I had been offered such an opportunity, I would have thought it over thoroughly," Kubacki stated candidly in an interview with Eurosport.

Dawid Kubacki further highlighted that he believes the situation must have taken its toll on their coach, Thomas Thurnbichler. "I think this greatly affected Thomas Thurnbichler. As a young coach, he received a wake-up call from an experienced athlete, and it's hard to ignore that," he added.

The 34-year-old expressed confidence that as a result of the recent changes, he now feels that "the pieces are falling into place, making the puzzle fit better together," enhancing the likelihood of maintaining good performance throughout the winter season.
