Surprise in the Team for the Four Hills Tournament! Painful Decision Made

Austrians have been performing phenomenally at the start of the winter season in the World Cup, which has led to a difficult decision for coach Andreas Widhoelzl when selecting the squad for the Four Hills Tournament. Ultimately, the coach opted to maintain the same lineup that participated in the competitions held in Engelberg, resulting in the exclusion of Manuel Fettner, who is currently ranked 15th in the overall World Cup standings.

In the prestigious tournament set to take place in Oberstdorf, the following athletes will represent Austria: Stephan Embacher, Michael Hayboeck, Jan Hoerl, Stefan Kraft, Markus Mueller, Maximilian Ortner, and Daniel Tschofenig.

On the Polish side, the lineup includes five athletes, and coach Thomas Thurnbichler was faced with a challenging task of selecting the team. Ultimately, Dawid Kubacki was included, whereas three-time tournament winner Kamil Stoch will be watching the competition from home.

The 73rd edition of the German-Austrian competition will kick off on Friday, December 28.
