Alexander Stoeckl speaks candidly about the crisis in Polish ski jumping.

"It's exhausting and certainly does not make our work easier," stated Alexander Stoeckl, sporting director for ski jumping and Nordic combined in the Polish Ski Association, during a conversation with the Norwegian portal dagbladet.no. He confessed, however, that he sees some positives in the performances of Polish jumpers. That said, both he and the entire coaching staff must face significant problems affecting Polish ski jumping.

Paweł Wąsek has been the only Polish jumper achieving commendable results so far in the Four Hills Tournament, finishing in 10th and 16th place. He undoubtedly remains the leader of the national team, while the others have been struggling significantly.

Stoeckl emphasized that the situation is indeed taxing and requires a robust approach to tackle the ongoing crisis, which has persisted since last season.

He expressed optimism regarding Wąsek's performance, emphasizing the need for continuity and improvement within the Polish team. "It's challenging. People are genuinely striving to bring out what they are capable of. Thankfully, we have Paweł Wąsek, who delivers good jumps. Yet, we lack consistency overall," Stoeckl commented.

The next competition for the jumpers will be in Innsbruck, where qualifications take place on Friday, followed by the main competition on Saturday.
