After Friday’s training sessions, coaches from various teams finalized their selections for the qualifying rounds for the World Championship competition on the normal hill in Trondheim. A number of well-known athletes, including Austria's Michael Hayboeck, ranked 12th in the overall World Cup standings, were sadly dropped from contention. Details of the situation unfolded as follows:

Michael Hayboeck, who was not included in the competition roster, had disappointing training results, finishing 67th, 55th, and 19th in three sessions, which did not convince coach Andreas Widhoelzl. Hayboeck was one of the most high-profile names absent from the competition. In addition, Manuel Fettner did not make the cut, leaving him as a reserve.

The German team made one notable change: Stephan Leyhe was withdrawn from the lineup ahead of qualifications. The Norwegian team opted to exclude Benjamin Oestvold and Robert Johansson, the latter stepping in for the injured Halvor Egner Granerud earlier.

On the other hand, Simon Ammann secured his place in the qualifying rounds, demonstrating he can still compete with younger athletes after his comeback.

The qualifications will take place on Saturday, March 1, at 20:30, preceded by a trial round at 19:15, while the medal competition commences the next day, with an initial trial at 16:00 followed by the first competition series at 17:00.
