Star Missing from the Four Hills Tournament! Coach Decided

The absence of Kamil Stoch won't be the only highlight as the Four Hills Tournament approaches. In the German squad for the initial contest in Oberstdorf, Markus Eisenbichler's name is conspicuously missing, having been sent back to the national group. The 33-year-old may make a swift return.

Stefan Horngacher, the German coach, needs to trim the team from seven to six jumpers, and unfortunately, this led to Eisenbichler being excluded from the lineup. Despite being the fourth ranked German skier in the overall World Cup standings, he has had inconsistent performances lately.

Eisenbichler expressed his disappointment to Bayerischer Rundfunk, stating, "My heart bleeds because I am unable to compete in Oberstdorf. My performance has been too uneven in recent competitions, but I know I still possess vast potential."

The eagerly anticipated 73rd Four Hills Tournament will kick off on December 28, when five Polish ski jumpers also take to the hill, with Dawid Kubacki headlining the team. Meanwhile, Stoch, a three-time champion of the tournament, will be watching from home as he continues to recover from injury.
