In the second Ski Flying competition held in Vikersund, the Austrian team, represented prominently by Stefan Kraft, fell just short of securing a podium finish. Kraft's performance landed him in fourth place, just 2.7 points behind Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi, who finished third.

The standout performer of the day was the Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc, who dominated with a remarkable jump of 247 meters, securing the first place decisively.

Kraft reflected on the day's results, expressing a mix of satisfaction with his own jump and disappointment at missing out on the podium. "I felt great during my flight and I'm a bit frustrated to miss out on a podium spot. I believe I deserved it," Kraft stated. Looking ahead, he is optimistic about upcoming competitions, particularly as he continues to chase down leaders in the overall World Cup standings.

The next competition will take place in Lahti next weekend, leading up to the traditional finale in Planica, promising exciting outcomes as the season comes to a close.
