
Slovenia Wins Home World Team Championship

Slovenia has clinched the men's team world championship at home in Planica on Saturday, marking a historical first. With a total of 1178.9 points, Slovenia topped the podium, outpacing the team from Norway (1166 points) and Austria (1139.4 points). Germany, the reigning champions, finished in fifth place with 1127.7 points.
The winning team consisted of Ziga Jelar, Lovro Kos, Timi Zajc, and Anze Lanisek. Prior to this event, Slovenia's best result in this competition was third place in Oslo back in 2011. Timi Zajc, the team leader, leaves Planica with three medals, including two golds from both the individual large hill and team events.
