Skispringer Eisenbichler vor Comeback: "Kurz auf die Schnauze gefallen"

Markus Eisenbichler is back in the World Cup team after a challenging prior season. The 33-year-old from Siegsdorf is part of the seven-member squad for the season opener in Lillehammer, Norway. "Finally, it's starting again. I missed it so much," Eisenbichler said.

For an entire season, he had to watch from the sidelines. He struggled even in the Continental Cup, missed the Four Hills Tournament, contemplated retirement, and dealt with critics while undergoing knee treatment. Now, he is excited to be back in Lillehammer, where he achieved his last top-ten finish with a jump of 146 meters, setting a hill record in March 2023.
