Jacqueline Seifriedsberger clinched a third place at the Ski Jumping World Cup event in Villach, achieving her first top-3 finish of the season. The event was won by Germany's Katharina Schmid, while Slovenia's Nika Prevc took second place. Lisa Eder finished in fourth place.

In her first jump, Seifriedsberger managed stellar performance, earning her a position on the podium. She expressed her overflowing joy saying, "It is such a relief. It was a really cool second jump, standing on the podium at home means there is nothing better."

The competition saw Prevc setting a new hill record during the qualification round with a jump of 102 meters. In contrast, she fell short of her form during the main event, only managing a jump of 94 meters which left her 4.5 points behind Schmid in the final standings.

The next competition will occur on January 6, further intensifying the competition as female ski jumpers continue to vie for supremacy.
