Ski Jumping: Despite the Cheating Scandal, Norwegian Jumpers Continue to Compete
Norway's ski jumpers Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang are set to compete as planned in this week's Raw Air event, despite being disqualified from the World Championships following revelations of manipulated suits. This was confirmed by the Norwegian Ski Federation, which announced the team lineup for the Raw Air tournament.
Lindvik and Forfang were disqualified during the World Championships last Saturday after it was discovered that their suits had been tampered with, leading to their removal from the results list. Both athletes have stated that they were unaware of any manipulation related to their suits.
The now suspended coach Magnus Brevig has supported their version of events, claiming that he, along with the suspended tailor Adrian Lievelten and assistant coach Thomas Lobben, were the only ones aware of the cheating.
The Raw Air series kicks off at Holmenkollen on Thursday, concluding in Vikersund on Sunday with ski flying events.
