Two individual competitions and a mixed event will take place at the 1994 Olympic ski jump. Germany's ski jumpers head into this winter season with high hopes to end the dominance of Stefan Kraft and Ryoyu Kobayashi.

Expectations are particularly high for Andreas Wellinger, a two-time Olympic champion, who is seen as a contender for both the forthcoming Four Hills Tournament and the World Championships in Trondheim in February.

Wellinger stated his aim for the new season is to "attend the winners' ceremonies more often than last year," with hopes to achieve this in Lillehammer, where the mixed event will kick off the extended opening weekend.
