The ski jumping hill in Wisła Malinka has recently suffered damage due to heavy rainfall, which triggered a landslide. As a result, the Summer Grand Prix competition, initially slated for August, has been postponed to mid-September. Andrzej Wąsowicz, president of the Silesian-Beskidzki Skiing Association, confirmed that excess soil has already been removed, and the next phase of repair work is scheduled to commence on Monday.

This upcoming competition will feature athletes from 21 countries competing in the women's events and 15 countries in the men's events, maintaining the previously anticipated number of participants. The Wisła Malinka hill has a rich history, having opened in 1933 and undergone major renovations from 2003 to 2008, with yet another round of updates completed earlier this year.

The 2024 Summer Grand Prix season consists of ten events. Previous competitions took place in Courchevel, where Austrian athlete Stefan Kraft clinched victory. Looking ahead, competitions are planned for Wisła, Rasnov, and Hinzenbach, culminating in the final event scheduled for October in Klingenthal.
