In the ski jumping competition held in Wisła, Polish athletes again faced challenges as they struggled to achieve competitive distances. In the second series, Paweł Wąsek performed the best among the Polish contingent, finishing in 11th place. The winner of the day was Daniel Tschofenig, marking his first victory in a World Cup event.
Despite strong performances in qualifications, the Polish team found themselves unable to compete for the top spots. In challenging conditions, many Polish jumpers failed to qualify for the final series.
Notably, during the first series, the wind proved detrimental for many competitors, with Maciej Kot posting a distance of 119.5 meters, which was not enough for advancement. Similarly, Piotr Żyła and Kamil Stoch also fell short, with Stoch achieving a personal worst result at this venue.
In the final analysis, the Polish skiers ended the event without achieving top rankings. The results indicate a need for improvement to regain a competitive edge in upcoming events, especially with upcoming challenges in the World Cup circuit.
