Klemens Joniak, a nineteen-year-old ski jumper, surprised everyone by claiming the title of Polish Champion, beating significantly more experienced competitors. His triumph, although spectacular, did not receive enthusiastic feedback from all observers.

Joniak, the youngest Polish champion in ski jumping for years, is on the verge of realizing his dream of debuting in the World Cup. In the program "3. series" on TVP Sport, he shared his feelings after this surprising victory in Zakopane and the unpleasant comments that accompanied it.

He expressed, "A few comments were quite specific, not celebrating the young man's victory, but instead blaming it on the wind factor, or rather the lack of it. I read comments suggesting I only won because of that."

Despite the negative remarks, Joniak could count on support from the biggest names in the sport. He was particularly impressed by Kamil Stoch, who waited for him to finish all his interviews to congratulate him, showing respect for the young athlete who has always been his idol.

Joniak, who is already the youngest Polish champion since Krystian Długopolski, is focusing on preparing for his next challenges. He was not selected for the World Cup in Wiśla, allowing him more time for training in Eisenerz.

The upcoming season is one filled with hopes for him. "I hope it will be the best season of my career," Joniak stated with determination as he sets his sights on the junior world championships in Lake Placid.
