Judgment Day for Polish Ski Jumpers: They Want to Rehabilitate After a Poor Start

This Sunday at 16:00, the second individual competition of the Ski Jumping World Cup will take place in Lillehammer. Five Polish jumpers will compete in the qualifications: Pawel Wasek, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Dawid Kubacki, Kamil Stoch, and Maciej Kot. In Saturday's competition, German jumper Pius Paschke triumphed, with Pawel Wasek being the best Polish jumper, finishing in 14th place.

In Saturday's competition in Lillehammer, the victory went to German jumper Pius Paschke, followed by four Austrians: Daniel Tschofenig, Maximilian Ortner, Stefan Kraft, and Jan Hoerl. Pawel Wasek was the top Pole in 14th place. Alekander Zniszczoł and Dawid Kubacki also advanced to the second series.

Continuing on from the video material, on Saturday, the only Polish female jumper was Anna Twardosz, finishing in 34th place. In the women's individual qualifications scheduled for 12:30, Pola Bełtowska, Nicole Konderla, and Natalia Słowik will also participate.

Poles in Lillehammer

In Sunday’s competition in Lillehammer, five jumpers will represent Poland. Pawel Wasek, who was the best Polish jumper on Saturday, hopes to improve his result. Aleksander Zniszczoł and Dawid Kubacki, who also advanced to the second series, will try to upgrade their positions. Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot will join the competition aiming for their best possible placements.

Women’s Competition

In the individual women’s competition on Sunday, starting at 12:30, Poland will be represented by four athletes. Anna Twardosz, who placed 34th on Saturday, will look to improve her result. Pola Bełtowska, Nicole Konderla, and Natalia Słowik will also make their appearances in the qualifications.
