Ryoyu Kobayashi Clinches Third Victory at Four Hills Tournament

Japanese ski jumper Ryoyu Kobayashi celebrated a remarkable achievement on Saturday as he secured his third title at the prestigious Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen, Austria. This triumph adds to his earlier victories in 2019, when he completed a Grand Slam, and in 2022.

Although Kobayashi finished second in each stage of the tournament, he impressively accumulated a total of 1,145.2 points, outshining competitors like Germany's Andreas Wellinger and Austria's Stefan Kraft, who currently leads the overall World Cup standings.

During the final stage in Bischofshofen, Kobayashi demonstrated resilience, finishing just 1.3 points behind the fastest jumper, Stefan Kraft. Slovenian competitor Anze Lanisek rounded out the podium, finishing in third place. Kobayashi's latest win is particularly striking because he accomplished it without winning any of the individual events during the tournament—a rare occurrence reminiscent of Janne Ahonen's feat in 1999, when Ahonen also clinched the tournament title without topping the podium in any stage.
