Revelatory Jumps at the World Championships. And a New Hill Record! Poles have something to think about

The Polish team has qualified for the Sunday competition of the World Championships on the normal hill in Trondheim. Among the best of the Polish team was Paweł Wąsek, whose distance did not qualify him for the top ten. Johann Andre Forfang shined in the competition, claiming victory and simultaneously setting a hill record.
During the trial series, Dawid Kubacki stood out among the Poles, jumping 100.5 meters and leading for a long while in the classification. Ultimately, he finished in ninth place, leaving him optimistic heading into the qualifications.
The Polish team had a mixed performance in the qualifications, with Wąsek reaching 93.0 meters for 19th place, while Aleksander Zniszczoł was in 25th. Piotr Żyła finished 37th with a jump of 93.0 meters, and Jakub Wolny was in 47th place. The top finishes came from Jan Hoerl starting strong in the trial with 100.0 meters. Wellinger and Tschofenig also kicked off the competition with impressive jumps.
The first round of the competition revealed that Yanick Wasser impressed with a 105-meter jump, setting the stage for a competitive series. Following the break in action, Andreas Wellinger jumped 105.5 meters, just shy of the hill record, which Johann Andre Forfang then established with a remarkable 106.5-meter jump, securing the top spot in the qualifications.
