Record Season for Polish Ski Jumpers
Poland has achieved a remarkable milestone in the ski jumping season! None of our jumpers have reached such heights this season.
Jakub Wolny delivered an outstanding performance by jumping 138.5 meters and fighting for a top ten spot in the World Cup competition held in Titisee-Neustadt. With a second impressive jump of 140.5 meters, he secured eighth place – the best result for a Polish ski jumper this season. Previously, top performers such as Paweł Wąsek and Dawid Kubacki did not earn points during this event.
Wolny's jump in the qualification round also showcased his talent, placing him in good stead leading into the main event, where he continued to impress. The competition saw tight scores, ultimately leading to the victory of Austrian Pius Paschke, who edged out his rivals with a jump of 145 meters.
In the standings, Wolny's performance stands out as a highlight, proving his skill and the potential of Polish ski jumping going forward. With only minimal differences in points between competitors, the fans could feel the excitement and anticipation in the air at Titisee-Neustadt as the results unfolded.
