Immediately following the ski jumping competition in Lillehammer, coach Thomas Thurnbichler made a decision regarding the Polish team's roster for the upcoming competitions. According to TVP Sport correspondent Michał Chmielewski, no changes will be made to the team. Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Paweł Wąsek, Aleksander Zniszczoł, and Maciej Kot will continue to compete for points.

The Lillehammer competition opened this season's World Cup cycle, but the results were disappointing for Polish athletes. On Saturday, Paweł Wąsek was the best among the Poles, finishing 14th. Points were also earned by Aleksander Zniszczoł (23rd place) and Dawid Kubacki (26th place). Kamil Stoch (35th place) and Maciej Kot (42nd place) did not qualify for the second round.

Sunday's performance was even worse, as none of the Poles made it into the top 20 again. Wąsek again led the group in 23rd place, followed by Zniszczoł (25th) and Stoch (28th). Kubacki and Kot finished without points.

Despite these unsatisfactory results, Coach Thurnbichler resolved to maintain the same lineup. Piotr Żyła, who has been recovering from a knee injury, remains hopeful for a return to the team.

Competitions in Ruka will commence with training and qualifications on Friday, November 29, followed by two individual competitions on Saturday and Sunday.

Currently, the leader of the World Cup standings is German athlete Pius Paschke, who won the first competition and finished second in the next round.
