Problems with the Organizers of the World Cup in Zakopane
Next week, the World Cup will take place in Zakopane, which has typically attracted thousands of fans to the winter capital of Poland. However, the Polish Ski Association is struggling to sell all the tickets this season. So far, only 60% of tickets have been purchased.
— Approximately 60% of tickets for the World Cup in Zakopane have been sold — Winkiel said straightforwardly during the show 'Trzecia Seria'.
The secretary of the PZN is confident and knows why there is less interest than usual. According to him, the reason is the lack of results from Polish jumpers, who have been in a deep crisis since the previous season. Currently, the highest-ranked Polish athlete in the World Cup standings is Paweł Wąsek, who is in 13th place.
— There are no results, and unfortunately, interest is declining — Winkiel adds.
The weekend with the World Cup in Zakopane will begin on Friday, January 17, when training and qualifications will take place. The team competition is scheduled for Saturday at 4:15 PM, and on Sunday at 4 PM the individual competitions will start.
