During the first of two World Championship trial events in Hinzenbach, Austria’s female ski jumpers delivered a standout performance. The 19‐year‐old Slovenian, Nika Prevc, claimed her fifth consecutive win, finishing 7.9 points ahead of the German ski jumper Selina Freitag. This victory marks Prevc’s 17th win overall, further extending her lead in the overall World Cup standings.

The home crowd was also delighted by the performances further down the leaderboard. Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, an experienced jumper from Upper Austria, completed her jumps at distances of 87.5 and 93.5 meters to earn third place. Lisa Eder, who missed the podium by only 2.4 points, remains optimistic about her progress, promising a full-on attack in the competition scheduled for the following day on the normal hill – serving as the final general rehearsal before the Nordic World Championships in Trondheim.

Seifriedsberger described the day as “cool” and noted the personal satisfaction of a good jump on her home hill, despite a slight stumble during her second jump which she attributed to safety concerns for her knees. The event showcased both individual excellence and strong team spirit among the Austrian jumpers as they prepared for upcoming international challenges.
