Ski jumping: First victory for Dawid Kubacki in the Four Hills Tournament

After Halvor Egner Granerud won the first two rounds of the Four Hills Tournament, it was Dawid Kubacki's turn to claim a victory during the third leg held in Innsbruck, Austria.

On January 4, 2023, Kubacki showcased exceptional skill, scoring 265.2 points, which secured him the win over Granerud, who scored 261.7 points and finished second despite a final jump of 133 meters. Slovenia’s Anze Lanisek took third place with 258.8 points.

This victory revitalizes the competition for the overall title within the Four Hills Tournament, as Kubacki, now the current leader of the World Cup standings, closes the gap on Granerud, who leads by only 23.3 points ahead of the final round set to take place in Bischofshofen, Austria, on January 6, 2023.
