Polish Ski Jumping Team Announcement
Polish ski jumpers Pola Bełtowska, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Anna Twardosz, and Paweł Wąsek have been chosen to represent Poland in the mixed team event at Willingen this Friday, during the ongoing World Cup in ski jumping.
Coach Thomas Thurnbichler had a tough decision to make after uneven training sessions. Despite Piotr Żyła recording the best performance in the second training round, the coach decided not to include him in the team. Instead, he opted for the jumpers who performed well in the first session. In fact, Aleksander Zniszczoł was the best Polish competitor in the first training, while in the second session he was only 40th, yet the decision was made to move forward with him.
In addition, the selection for the women was clear. With only two female jumpers present for the training sessions – Anna Twardosz and Pola Bełtowska – they will be taking part without further deliberation.
The mixed team competition is scheduled to begin at 16:10 local time. The article highlights the challenging decisions behind team selection and notes that despite impressive qualities shown in training, some results are not the sole determinant in final team decisions.
