Polish ski jumpers made their mark in Lake Placid with strong qualification performances ahead of the individual competition scheduled to start at 16:00. With a smaller field in the qualifiers held 1.5 hours before the main series, the Polish team had excellent chances to secure their spots in the contest.

Piotr Żyła was the first Pole to take to the jump, landing at a distance of 115.5 meters and briefly taking the lead. Although Jakub Wolny managed a jump that was 3.5 meters shorter, he did not rank as high. Dawid Kubacki and Aleksander Zniszczoł then stepped up their performances, with Zniszczoł reaching 122.5 meters. However, it was team leader Paweł Wąsek who once again proved his consistency by achieving the longest jump at 123.5 meters.

Despite Domen Prevc winning the event with a jump of 131 meters, followed by Maximilian Ortner at 124 meters and Johann Andre Forfang at 124.5 meters, the results from the Polish squad offer plenty of optimism. The individual competition promises to be an exciting display as the athletes look to further impress the gathered American Polish fans under the Olympic ski jump hill.
