Kacper Juroszek had to withdraw from the Sunday competitions of the Continental Cup in Klingenthal. As reported by Dominik Formela from Skijumping.pl, the Polish representative faced a sudden illness. Therefore, only three of our jumpers could participate in the competition.

The quartet of Polish representatives, Tymoteusz Amilkiewicz, Klemens Joniak, Maciej Kot, and Kacper Juroszek was initially set to compete in the Continental Cup events instead of the Polish Championships in Zakopane. However, the competitions in Klingenthal were hindered by unpredictable weather conditions. On Saturday, the competition did not take place. On Sunday, the first competition was canceled, only to reveal that Juroszek could not compete due to illness.

It is unclear how quickly Juroszek will recover. The athlete from Istebna participated in four events of this season's Continental Cup and has already scored 27 points. In his last event in Engelberg, he finished 21st in both competitions. In the overall standings of the Continental Cup prior to the event, he was in 33rd place.

He made his World Cup debut on February 25, 2022, finishing 32nd in the Lahti competition. He also participated in three other competitions during the 2021/2022 season.
