Weather Disruption Forces Changes for Ski Jumping Competitions

Severe weather conditions, referred to as a "weather apocalypse," predicted for Sunday in Engelberg have already necessitated major changes to the schedule of the Ski Jumping World Cup competitions. Polish fans are in for a disappointment with updates on these developments being less than promising.
Due to the forecasts, the qualifications for the ski jumpers have been moved to 9:15 AM, impacting the entire day’s programming. Following the men's qualifications, the women's competition will commence next, as they do not require qualifying for the main event, with the men's competition now slated to start at 4:00 PM.
However, this plan is subject to change as severe winds, along with rain and snow, are forecasted for Sunday. This uncertainty was highlighted by Dominik Formela from Skijumping, who provided updates indicating that outcomes may not be very optimistic.
The weekend in Engelberg was expected to be an exciting showcase for Polish ski jumpers, as many anticipated a stellar performance. Instead, challenges presented by both weather and recent results, where the best Polish jumper, Paweł Wąsek, finished in 11th position, have created a more somber atmosphere surrounding the events.
