Dawid Kubacki faced dramatic setbacks, posting three poor attempts on Saturday in Oberstdorf, culminating in his failure to qualify for the main event! In stark contrast, other Polish athletes excelled, notably Piotr Żyła, who achieved 14th place.

In the attempt series, the best results came from Aleksander Zniszczoł, who placed 14th, while the news regarding Kubacki was concerning. Had these been qualification rounds, he would just barely qualify!

The Polish team did manage better during the second one — alongside Zniszczoł, Piotr Żyła put in an excellent performance, indicating strong potential for further attempts in the qualification rounds.

Unfortunately, Kubacki couldn't shake off his poor form and ended up with a 50th place in the previous rounds and just 41st this time. Upcoming were more Polish jumpers like Wolny and Wąsek, positioning themselves lower in the ranks.

In the first jump, the Ukrainian Wilalij Kalinczenko scored 111.5 m, and then 129.5 m later on, setting a competitive stage.

Piotr Żyła Returns in Grand Form!

After Kos’s attempt, Żyła dazzled with a phenomenal 132 m jump, taking the lead in qualifications. His stellar performance meant he spent an extended period in the leading chair. At last, despite being outdone by Killian Peiera, his efforts left him satisfied with the result.

In stark contrast, Dawid Kubacki fell to 112.5 m, raising questions about his qualification.

Jakub Wolny was another standout, managing to salvage his performance with a respectable score of 126.5 m, which put him in 10th place.

Cubacki also faltered again at 114 m and Zniszczoł only managed 117.5 m. This placed Żyła at the top of the Polish contingent, and Kubacki once again found himself amid his lowest performances leading to his elimination from the standings.

In the ultimate qualification rounds, the top jumpers included Daniel Tschofenig, Stefan Kraft, and Michael Hayboeck, as their ranks dominated the charts.

Results for Polish Jumpers: - 14. Żyła – 132.5 m - 25. Wolny – 126.5 m - 38. Zniszczoł – 117.5 m - 42. Wąsek – 114 m Did not qualify: - 53. Kubacki – 115.5 m
