Piotr Żyła was the leader of the Polish team on the large hill in Oberstdorf, which allowed him to claim the highest bonus among the Poles. On Saturday, he earned 1700 Swiss francs (approximately 7500 PLN) for finishing 17th. Jakub Wolny, who finished 22nd, earned 1200 francs (around 5300 PLN), and Aleksander Zniszczoł, who was 28th, collected 600 francs (approximately 2600 PLN).
So how much did the winner Timi Zajc earn? The Slovenian, who launched himself to a remarkable distance of 233 meters in the second round, took home 13,000 francs (about 55,000 PLN) for first place. The second place went to Johann Andre Forfang who earned 10,000 francs (around 44,000 PLN), and third place to Domen Prevc with 8,000 francs (approximately 35,000 PLN).
Additionally, not advancing to the second series of the Saturday competition were Paweł Wąsek and Kamil Stoch. However, there is a chance for improvement as qualifications will start again on Sunday at 14:15, with the competition scheduled for 16:00.
