In a remarkable transformation, Paweł Wąsek showcased his skills during the ski flying competition in Oberstdorf, where he secured a career-high fourth place, a best performance he had not previously achieved in World Cup events. On top of that, he set a personal record with a jump of 233 meters. "It's a bit unfortunate that I missed the podium, but all three of my jumps were further than my best ones previous in my career. A fantastic day for me," he stated, sharing his excitement with TVN and Eurosport after the competition.

Wąsek explained the adjustments he made by saying, "Nothing special changed; I just delivered my regular jumps today. On Friday and Saturday, I had a poor vision of the jumps. We analyzed that, and my coach explained how to overcome that." When asked how he achieved such an improvement, he articulated that it requires stability, the correct take-off angle, allowing emotions to flow, and ensuring that each jump is executed smoothly and gracefully. "This is why we train—to fly as far as possible," he concluded.

This day not only marked Wąsek's beautiful performance but also signifies a turning point for Polish ski jumping, showing promise for future competitions and excitement among fans for what lies ahead.
