Paweł Wąsek, the leader of the Polish ski jumping team, declared, "I am capable of putting on a great jump here again," ahead of the World Cup event at Willingen on Sunday. Despite finishing 19th in the recent contest on the Muehlenkopfschanze, Wąsek is determined to improve his results.
In the qualifications, 60 competitors will take part with his teammates Aleksander Zniszczoł, Jakub Wolny, Dawid Kubacki, and Piotr Żyła also on the start list. In the previous contest, Austrian Daniel Tschofenig won the event, solidifying his lead in the World Cup overall standings, while Slovenian Anze Lanisek took second and Austrian Maximilian Ortner secured third.
Wąsek finished 19th in the latest event, which was a letdown following an unsatisfactory performance in the mixed team contest the previous day. However, he remains optimistic about his potential and looks forward to competing in the scheduled qualifications at 14:30 with the main competition set for 16:10.
