Paweł Wąsek, the leading member of Poland’s ski jumping team, disclosed during the TV program "Misja Sport" that he has been struggling with a cold since Friday and has spent the last four days recovering at home. He explained that the recent travel to Japan for the Sapporo competition left him more fatigued than usual, as such long journeys are not a regular occurrence for the team.
Wąsek expressed optimism about his upcoming participation in the World Championships in Trondheim despite his current symptoms. He mentioned that he hopes to complete a proper training session at the gym before leaving for Norway, which would allow him to recover and be well-prepared for the competition. According to him, the mild illness – which mostly affects his throat – should not have any long-term impact on his performance.
