Wąsek Poised for Summer Grand Prix Victory and Big Prizes

Paweł Wąsek is making headlines as he leads the Summer Grand Prix series in ski jumping, with the final showdown taking place in Klingenthal. The 25-year-old Polish athlete not only has a chance to secure a prestigious victory; he is also eyeing significant financial rewards that accompany his performance. However, he faces stiff competition from Austria's Stefan Kraft, a seasoned pro eager to reclaim his top spot.

At the recent Summer Grand Prix event in Hinzenbach, Wąsek finished in fifth place, yet he proudly wore the yellow leader’s jersey as he heads into the crucial competition on Saturday, October 5. His lead over Kraft has narrowed considerably, intensifying the battle for the title.

Both Wąsek and Kraft are among the top earners in the series. As of now, Kraft dominates the earnings leaderboard with 12,500 Swiss francs (approximately 57,000 PLN) under his belt, while Wąsek trails closely with 10,500 Swiss francs (around 48,000 PLN).

Norwegian jumper Marius Lindvik is currently in third place with earnings of 10,000 Swiss francs (about 45,500 PLN).

Interestingly, the leaderboard includes two more Polish athletes—Dawid Kubacki and Jakub Wolny—who have each accumulated only 500 Swiss francs (nearly 2,300 PLN). Their minimal earnings highlight Wąsek's dominant position as he aims for victory and substantial prizes in the final rounds of the competition.
