Paweł Wąsek Hits Jackpot in Zakopane

Paweł Wąsek equaled his best career result during the World Cup competition in Zakopane by securing fifth place. As the leader of the Polish team, he earned a substantial prize of 2,200 Swiss francs (approximately 10,000 PLN) for his achievement. The highest prize was awarded to the winner, Daniel Tschofenig, who took home 9,000 francs (about 41,000 PLN).
Wąsek demonstrated his leadership skills in the first round, jumping 136 meters, and positioned himself second in the standings after the first round. In the second round, he further solidified his performance by jumping 137 meters in excellent style and received top scores from the judges.
This result highlights his potential as the best ski jumper in Poland, indicating that he is a serious contender in future competitions. The top three jumpers in this event showcased superior skills, with Tschofenig expanding his lead in the overall standings.
As the competition progresses, the best ski jumpers in the world will move to Oberstdorf for the mammoth hill, where qualifications are set to take place on Friday.
