Paweł Wąsek Shines in Rasnov: A Promising Lead-Up to Competition

Following his impressive victory in Rasnov on Saturday, Paweł Wąsek showcased his exceptional form by securing second place in today's qualifications with a jump of 92.5 meters (67.9 points). The top spot was claimed by Alex Insam, who achieved a jump of 91.5 meters (68.6 points), while Ren Nikaido took third place with a jump of 95.5 meters (64.3 points). Jakub Wolny also performed admirably, finishing in the top ten.

Wąsek’s consistent performance has clearly highlighted his remarkable talent as a 25-year-old from Cieszyn. Notably, Jakub Wolny impressed in the qualifications as well, landing in sixth place with a jump of 90 meters (57.1 points).

Kacper Juroszek wrapped up the qualifications in thirteenth place with a jump of 91 meters (54.5 points), while Maciej Kot faced challenges, finishing in thirty-sixth place with a jump of only 81.5 meters (39.2 points).

A Milestone Victory for Wąsek

Wąsek’s journey to triumph began with his first-ever victory in the Summer Grand Prix in Rasnov (HS97), where he delivered stellar jumps of 95 meters and 92 meters—a performance that boosted his standing in the general classification.

During the first series, Kevin Bickner led with an impressive 97.5-meter jump, just edging out Wąsek, who logged an equally commendable 95 meters, only 1.4 points behind. Close competitors Ulrich Wohlgenannt and Marco Woergoetter also made their marks with jumps of 96.5 meters and 97 meters, respectively. After the break, Wąsek maintained his dominance, leaving little opportunity for his rivals.

The competition is set to begin at 15:00, promising an exciting showdown.
