Paweł Wąsek secured third place in the World Cup event in Lahti, marking the pinnacle of his career. After the competition, he admitted that it was a challenging contest, as he struggled to focus and was initially dissatisfied with his first attempt. He noted in an interview with Eurosport that his concentration wavered due to external circumstances, but in the end, he managed to perform well.

In retrospect, Wąsek acknowledged that even with the stress and pressure, he was pleased to have secured a podium finish for the Polish team this season, making it a significant accomplishment. He shared his thoughts after his first jump, where he felt his score did not reflect his capabilities. Despite initially feeling a bit lost during the competition, the realization that he had defended his position successfully brought him joy.

"There was a lot of stress. I was searching for the right focus, but I was distracted by the situation around me, yet ultimately it turned out well," he stated. Wąsek further described his day at the event as uneventful and expressed relief at how well his jumps performed.

Looking ahead, Wąsek will participate in the upcoming duets competition, with the trial series starting at 3:30 PM and the first round an hour later. The progress of the jumpers competing in Finland will be available on the Przegląd Sportowy One website.
