Paweł Wąsek Received a Big Bonus! This is How Much He Earned for His Record Jump

Paweł Wąsek had a record-setting Sunday in Oberstdorf and has many reasons to celebrate. He achieved a fourth-place finish in the Ski World Cup flying competition after hitting a personal best distance of 233 meters, which secured him a substantial cash bonus. He gained nearly 27,000 PLN!

With a new personal best flight distance and a record in the World Cup standings, Paweł Wąsek will surely remember the competition in Oberstdorf for a long time! The Polish athlete is solidifying his position among the top ski jumpers and is soon expected to compete for his first career podium.

For his fourth-place finish in the competition, he will soon receive a significant financial bonus, as the organizers have set a prize of exactly 6,000 Swiss francs for athletes finishing in that position. This amounts to about 26,500 PLN!

Earnings of the Top Jumpers in Oberstdorf

In first place on the German hill was Domen Prevc, who earned 13,000 Swiss francs (approximately 57,500 PLN). In second place was Johann Andre Forfang, who will receive 10,000 Swiss francs, about 44,300 PLN. Completing the podium was Michael Hayboeck, who took home 8,000 francs (about 35,400 PLN).

In a few days, the world’s top ski jumpers will head to another German hill for the Ski World Cup competition in Willingen. As it turns out, Kamil Stoch will not appear in the team this time as he did not qualify on Sunday.
