
Paschke Impresses in Engelberg Qualification

Germany's ski jumpers showed impressive form during the qualification round for the World Cup competition in Engelberg, Switzerland. Leading the charge was Pius Paschke, who secured a place in the main event by finishing fifth with a jump measuring 133.5 meters despite facing adverse wind conditions.
The qualification event saw a competitive atmosphere with other top jumpers, including Austria's Daniel Tschofenig, who finished first with a notable score of 170.9 points. Norwegian jumper Johann Andre Forfang followed closely behind in second place. The jumping conditions included a challenging tailwind that affected some competitors differently, allowing Paschke to stand out in the strong field.
Andreas Wellinger was the second best German performer, showcasing resilience against wind conditions by landing sixth with 126.5 meters, showing signs of improvement after recent uncertain performances in training.
Stephan Leyhe also qualified impressively, landing eleventh with a jump of 134 meters, indicating his growing confidence after a tough start to the season. Other notable performances included Markus Eisenbichler and Philipp Raimund, who also made it through to the competition despite some struggles during their jumps. Overall, the team is gearing up optimistically for the main event scheduled for Saturday.
