ÖSV jumpers had mixed feelings after their ski-flying weekend in Oberstdorf. On Saturday, the team saw their victory streak of eight ends, following a record of 24 consecutive individual contests with at least one Austrian on the podium. Jan Hörl reflected humorously on his fifth-place finish, saying, "It's a shame ski flying is over now — I would have learned it anyway!"

Conversing about the challenging wind conditions, Michael Hayböck, who placed third, noted, "You must take whatever comes your way, as conditions change brutally quickly." He congratulated Hörl saying, "Michi proved how well he can fly, and he deserves his place on the podium."

Stefan Kraft, the previous year's winner, faced disqualification due to a suit violation and ended in tenth place on Sunday. Despite this, his passion for ski flying remains. "We could easily stay here for more jumps instead of going to Willingen, although I love that hill too. We all want more ski flying events, though!"

In contrast, Daniel Tschofenig admitted he wasn't completely satisfied with his sixth place, stating, "It’s not quite what we aim for, but it must be taken into context." Kraft added that he recognized areas to improve and was not satisfied with his jumping distances during the event.
