ÖSV Eagles Fly Away in the New Year's Jump Qualifiers

In the qualifying round for the New Year's Jump of the Four Hills Tournament held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Austrian ski jumpers performed exceptionally well. Jan Hörl emerged as the top jumper with a leap of 137.5 meters, earning 146.9 points. Daniel Tschofenig finished second with a distance of 136.5 meters, trailing by just 0.8 points. Michael Hayböck, coming in third, managed a jump of 138.5 meters, 1.9 points behind Hörl. Notably, Stefan Kraft, winner of the Oberstdorf jump, placed eleventh with a 131-meter jump, missing first place by 11.3 points.

The seven Austrian competitors all qualified for the knockout duels scheduled for January 1, with Hörl and Tschofenig expressing confidence and optimism for their upcoming performances.

In addition, the German team showed strength, with Pius Paschke taking the ninth position after a 133-meter jump, indicating readiness for the tournament.

The excitement continues as all eyes will be on Garmisch-Partenkirchen as the New Year's Jump approaches.
