Norwegians' Participation in Raw Air Confirmed

It has been confirmed that Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang will participate in the Raw Air series! These athletes, who previously stood on the podium at the World Championships on the large hill in Trondheim, have ultimately lost their medals. Nonetheless, they have made it onto the squad announced by the Norwegian Ski Federation.

As long as the FIS does not decide on an immediate penalty, both will compete in the events.

The Norwegian team has announced its lineup for the competitions in Raw Air at Holmenkollen and Vikersund. The team includes athletes who recently lost their World Championship medals. Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang will be part of the team and will have a chance to earn World Cup points.

However, it is not definitive that the FIS will not bar them from participation in the competitions. Investigations are ongoing regarding the scandal that arose during the competition in Norway last Saturday. Following recordings revealed by Polish journalist Jakub Balcerski, it came to light that the hosts employed forbidden technology in their suits.

Decision Made Regarding Raw Air

The Norwegians are not inclined to preempt any decisions and have declared that Lindvik and Forfang will be members of the team for the Raw Air competitions. This means that unless the FIS imposes an extended suspension on both athletes, they will be able to compete in the World Cup and fight for major successes.

The next decision lies solely with the FIS representatives. Although some anticipated that following the scandal involving the competition for World Championship medals, the Norwegians might "rest" their stars, it is now clear that this will not be the case. Only the ski jumping officials are in a position to make a decision on the matter.
